AREMACS is a French organization dedicated to assisting professionals in the events, cultural, and sports sectors as they work toward ecological and social transformation. Each year, AREMACS hosts the JEER (Journées de l'Événementiel Éco-Responsable), an event that brings people together for insightful discussions and hands-on workshops.
This year, the JEER debuts a fresh visual identity, crafted by designer Amélia Vigouroux - Mameth. The goal was to reflect the event’s humanistic and purpose-driven ethos through a distinctive, hand-drawn logo, icons, and custom typography. With this design, we aimed to present a modernized view of ecology, steering clear of clichés. This involved extensive symbolic research to translate JEER’s themes and activities into compelling visuals that would capture its unique spirit.
Amélia Vigouroux is a talented French graphic designer currently based in Toulouse, originally hailing from Aveyron in the south of France. Deeply involved in the cultural sphere, she has spent the past three years collaborating with a variety of organizations, including cultural institutions, entrepreneurial ventures, and non-profits, to craft engaging visual identities, editorial designs, and illustrations.
Amélia finds fresh inspiration in graphic design books that delve into technical principles, such as grid systems, adaptable design frameworks, and the intricate details of typography. She has a particular appreciation for Swiss graphic design, valuing its precision and discipline. This influence subtly informs her approach, even when she embraces playful, deconstructed designs that break traditional boundaries, blending creativity with meticulous attention to detail.
