IDEATE: A Creative Zine for Artistic Exploration and Expression

IDEATE is a creative zine where ideas are metaphorically "eaten," blending design, photography, fashion, and music into a dynamic showcase of artistic expression. Initially conceived as a small-scale project by Felipe Ramires and photographer Sanya Saxena, the zine began as a collaborative platform for sharing their work with close friends in Amsterdam. Over time, IDEATE evolved into a broader artistic endeavor, highlighting and promoting works by other creators alongside their own.

The name "IDEATE" is rooted in a creative process taught at university, which builds on traditional brainstorming with more advanced steps in ideation. The concept inspired a play on words, combining "ideas" and "eat," symbolizing a space where creative output is both prepared and shared for others to appreciate.

Each volume of IDEATE is a carefully crafted collaboration. Felipe specializes in 3D mockups, texture editing, and the overall design of the pages, while Sanya curates and arranges the photographs, edits them, and develops the accompanying text. Together, they aim to publish one volume per month on Instagram. Volume 2, for instance, was released on the last day of October, featuring a special Halloween-themed edition.

Originally developed in Amsterdam, IDEATE continues to expand its reach. While Felipe is now based in São Paulo, Brazil, they actively build new connections and collaborate with emerging artists to enrich future volumes. The zine remains a vibrant platform for sharing, celebrating, and consuming creative works.
