Within its depths resides a fascinating phenomenon: memory. This enigmatic neurochemical process is fundamental to the human experience, yet it is far from infallible. Memory, with all its imperfections and pitfalls, is the focus of our inquiry in this book.

"Is our memory reliable? Can our memory be altered? Can we protect our memory? These questions are investigated in the form of a scientific experiment, in which we try to find solutions to these problems in the realm of artifacts and materials. Which effects do artifacts have in the human memory? Can materiality be the key to repairing it?"

Presently, there are over 180,000 franchised Jeepney vehicles traversing the roads of the Philippines. These iconic vehicles trace their origins back to World War II. In the aftermath of the conflict, with the city in ruins, resourceful Filipinos repurposed American war Jeeps into their primary mode of transportation. Today, they remain the backbone of Metro Manila's transit system, cherished for their affordability. Despite their unconventional charm, characterized by a blend of rudimentary airbrushing techniques, daring color schemes, and quirky slogans, Jeepneys are undeniably captivating in their own unique way.

Originally conceived as a celebration of the fascinating world of Jeepneys, this book was poised to unveil a lesser-known aspect of Filipino culture to a global audience. However, upon delving into the common imagery adorning these vehicles, a startling revelation emerged.
