The rebranding of Bodegas Jaques and Cie, the pioneer of Mexican sparkling wines, exemplifies the embrace of minimalism to enhance brand recognition. By distilling the brand to its core, the team strategically simplified the name to "Jacques" for easier recall.
This approach is deeply rooted in honoring the brand's heritage and tradition while infusing a contemporary flair. With a clear objective to reshape perceptions of Mexico and highlight its modern essence, the team embarked on a meticulous redesign journey.
This journey includes a thoughtful reimagining of the iconic eagle with a more adaptable illustration and the integration of three complementary symbols. One symbol pays homage to Barcelonette, France—the family’s ancestral homeland before their migration to Mexico in the 19th century. Additionally, a modern and minimal typeface, combined with a vibrant color palette, vividly represents Mexican culture.
