Marlon Tate, a creative agency renowned for its youthful and surrealistic, narrative-driven approach to branding and advertising, conceived and directed an anniversary campaign for Moda Bagno, one of Greece's most influential luxury brands. Over the last fifty years, Moda Bagno has significantly influenced Greek homes, and to honor this, Marlon Tate designed the campaign around a "dynamic" logo system, featuring 50 kinetic logos that reflect various periods of furniture and interior design. Additionally, the agency developed a year-long campaign that includes 200 unique print, digital, and outdoor executions, as well as a limited edition of shopping bags and merchandise. "We aimed to reference the brand's unapologetic creative heritage by creating something that is quirky, humorous, and somewhat superfluous. It’s got that old internet energy," said Marlon Tate’s Creative Director, Nikos Georgópoulos, in a statement about the project.
Marlon Tate, a rising branding agency, is celebrated for its narrative-driven branding and surrealist storytelling. Founded by "popstar art director" Nikos Georgopoulos, the agency's name is a fictional blend of Marlon Brando and Sharon Tate. While based in Athens and London, they humorously claim to have offices on Jupiter and Mars, poking fun at the stereotype of global ad agencies.
Marlon Tate is known for its quirky approach, evident in their presentation templates featuring fictional characters like Eddie Manson from Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’ giving negative testimonials. Their recent job posting asked, “Do you want to go to the Moon?” highlighting their unique brand identity. To showcase their storytelling prowess, they created a self-promotional aluminum vacuum-sealed press kit inspired by NASA’s astronaut food packaging. This kit included space bags with a newspaper of fictional news and ads for imaginary products, presenting the agency as the first to establish offices in space, showcasing their extraordinary creativity and talent.
