Zingara, a flavoured soda brand developed by Noramble, aims to capture "Life's Zingful Moments" through its unique product packaging. Specializing in canned beverages, Zingara set out to establish a captivating brand identity that would resonate with consumers. Noramble was entrusted with designing a distinctive packaging strategy for Zingara's soda cans. The goal was to imbue each can with the vibrancy, spontaneity, and zest that reflect the brand's promise of delivering memorable moments of joy and refreshment.
To achieve this, Noramble delved deeply into understanding Zingara's brand essence and the aspirations of its target audience. Through comprehensive market research and trend analysis, the team identified a growing demand for natural, healthy sodas that also offer great taste. The aim was to align Zingara's packaging with this emerging consumer preference.
Drawing inspiration from the theme of "Life's Zingful Moments," Noramble envisioned several design directions that celebrated spontaneity, adventure, and sensory delight. By incorporating bold colors, dynamic typography, and playful illustrative fruit mascots, each design sought to evoke a sense of anticipation and excitement, reminiscent of life's most cherished experiences.
Noramble worked closely with Zingara's team to refine and iterate on the chosen design concepts. Utilizing rapid prototyping techniques, they tested various visual treatments, finishes, and tactile embellishments to enhance shelf visibility and consumer engagement. The final designs seamlessly integrated Zingara's brand identity with its commitment to delivering "Zingful Moments" in every sip.
Reflecting the brand’s vision of "Life’s Zingful Moments," the final designs are characterized by bold colors, dynamic typography, and a distinctive retro style, embodying the promise of delight in every sip. Inspired by iconic mascots from well-known brands like Go Compare and Michelin, Noramble incorporated playful fruit mascots for each flavor, fostering an emotional connection with consumers.
Daniel Poll, the Founder and Creative Director at Noramble, established the company in 2020 following more than five years of industry experience. His journey in design began with studying design and branding at The University of Salford. Upon graduation, he joined a white-label beauty brand as a junior packaging designer, while also taking on freelance projects.
After spending about five years in the industry, Daniel decided to launch his own design studio, specializing in packaging for CPG brands. Now, at 28 years old and nearly four years since Noramble's inception, Daniel and his team serve clients ranging from Manchester and Paris to the United States.
